Community: If not now, when?

The Foundation for Community Encouragement (FCE) is a 501(c)(3) educational, non-profit organization. We are dedicated to the quest for community among people from diverse backgrounds and beliefs. FCE establishes a safe place, where common values can be acknowledged and differences can be explored.

We enable individuals, groups and organizations to identify and grapple with the issues that cause divisions between people. We encourage the members of the group to transcend the conflicts that may hamper progress toward accomplishing the goals they are seeking to achieve.

Join community-building enthusiasts — and the community- building curious  — from around the world for the first Community Continuity Conference (CCC) hosted by the FCE in over a decade.

The event opens Thursday afternoon with a global snapshot of how community building (CB) is being used by people and organizations in Chile, Czech Republic, L.A., Chicago and elsewhere in the world.

Thursday evening the traditional CB workshop begins and we spend the following two-days together immersed in the circle process.

Sunday the focus shifts to an exploration of the CB process and a “Taste of Facilitation” open to all participants. The Taste of Facilitation is resurrecting the Facilitator Roundtable with a twist, as it will include those curious about CB facilitation while also bringing new & experienced facilitators together to learn and share. FCE hopes this "Taste" will inspire future training and roundtables. Sunday afternoon, we have our closing circle and the conference ends at 3:00.
